The Wáberer Medical Center is the first private institution to offer the robot-assisted surgical technique, in which the operating doctor controls the device with both hands and feet and can make incredibly precise movements. It will be used first in urological surgery, then in gynecology and general surgery, reports Világgazdaság.

Making processes smoother could significantly reduce waiting times in outpatient care, said the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior, at a press conference on the introduction of a national electronic outpatient appointment booking system at the Albert Schweitzer Hospital-Clinic Institute in Hatvan, in Nógrád County.

Speaking at the Tranzit Festival in Tihany on Saturday, during a discussion on the consequences of giving up the national currency, Finance Minister Varga Mihály said that the issue on the agenda now is how we can restore the economy’s balance position in the quickest way after two crises. Fiscal policy must reduce the deficit and debt, he summarized.
The Association of Medical Devices Manufacturers (OSZ) draws the attention of the Government of Hungary to the fact that the steps taken by the Government to partially settle the overdue debts of hospitals are not sufficient, and if no action is taken to settle the overdue claims of economic operators independent of the state, patient care may be stopped in several institutions, for example due to a lack of equipment.
